JM&A GROUP
JM&A Group, a part of JM Family Enterprises, specializes in automotive finance and insurance products. During the 2024 summer I had the privilege of working with an incredible group of associates and over 100 other interns. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from and grow alongside everyone at JM&A, and will be forever grateful for such an amazing experience!
All 15 of the JM&A interns were asked to create a new F&I (Finance and Insurance) product to add to JM&A Group’s current selection of offerings, and seamlessly integrate it into the current F&I Process. After several weeks of focus groups, meetings, and deliberation we came to the idea of creating an add-on product to a vehicle service contract that would aid those in need of a rental car. The basic idea is that if you are out of a car and need a rental vehicle for longer than insurance would cover, this add-on would cover the rest.
We came up with a 3 phase marketing push to integrate this idea into the current process. The push centers around educating the consumer before, during, and after the car-buying process to encourage more purchases of vehicle protection (F&I) products.
The “before” phase includes advertisements shown on social media and websites, providing a very high level overview of the protection products.
Our “during” phase contains a kiosk that would be placed in the dealership for consumers to explore which parts of their car could be covered by what product. For example if they clicked on the tire of the car, it would show that a road hazard tire package could be beneficial.
Additionally, pamphlets would be on tables throughout the dealership, and introduced by those working in the dealership to further educate the consumer. This piece of the project was my favorite to design- I printed and folded 15 copies to be distributed during our final presentation to executive leadership, it was very rewarding to watch a piece of this huge project come to life!
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is held in Sturgis, South Dakota, and attracts around half a million motorcycle enthusiasts to the area every year. This year, the Black Hills Harley-Davidson dealership reached out to JM&A’s strategic partnerships team to create promotional materials that would aid in selling protection products during the rally. I was lucky enough to be in charge of the creation of all marketing materials for this event, including a 14-foot-long banner that was displayed in front of hundreds of thousands of people!

I had the privilege of creating a downloadable asset for all of JM&A’s Automotive Trends Reports as well as a template to be used in the future. The marketing team wanted to move away from having a page with links to all past reports, and rather feature the most recent report with a form to download PDFs of past ATRs. The user would opt to download past reports while inputting their email, allowing for follow-ups. Anyway, click this link to view the Mid-Year 2024 ATR!
